" Iran's Prosecutor General has said perpetrators of the deadly blast in the Iranian city of Shiraz have confessed to links to the US and Israel.
"The secular agents behind the brutal and terrorist bombing of a religious and cultural center in Shiraz have confessed to having links to the world arrogance, in particular the United States and the Zionist regime," IRNA quoted Qorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi as saying.
He added that countries which claim to be defending human rights have no qualms about threatening the Iranian nation with bombs and violence.
"Apparently, the group has also carried out one or two minor operations in other parts of the country. The Islamic world is currently aware of the US plots against Muslims," he said.
The US and other elements of the world arrogance are enemies of the Holy Qur'an and independence of Islamic countries, he noted, stressing that Muslims should remain vigilant against the deceitful acts of the US and its Zionist ally.
Najafabadi noted that 10 bombers involved in the event and other agents cooperating with the group outside Fars Province have been arrested so far and investigations are underway to identify and arrest other members of the group.

"Just two days after the U.S. Navy released the eerie video of Iranian speedboats swarming around American warships, which featured a chilling threat in English, the Navy is saying that the voice on the tape could have come from the shore or from another ship.
The near-clash occurred over the weekend in the Strait of Hormuz. On the U.S.-released recording, a voice can be heard saying to the Americans, "I am coming to you. You will explode after a few minutes."
The Navy never said specifically where the voices came from, but many were left with the impression they had come from the speedboats because of the way the Navy footage was edited.
Today, the spokesperson for the U.S. admiral in charge of the Fifth Fleet clarified to ABC News that the threat may have come from the Iranian boats, or it may have come from somewhere else.
We're saying that we cannot make a direct connection to the boats there," said the spokesperson. "It could have come from the shore, from another ship passing by. However, it happened in the middle of all the very unusual activity, so as we assess the information and situation, we still put it in the total aggregate of what happened Sunday morning. I guess we're not saying that it absolutely came from the boats, but we're not saying it absolutely didn't." -----

" Another US Navy aircraft carrier is heading towards the Middle East, boosting the number of the giant warships in the region to three, the navy said in a statement on Tuesday.
The nuclear-powered USS Enterprise and its strike group will join the USS John C. Stennis and USS Nimitz in the navy's Fifth Fleet area of operation, which includes Gulf waters off Iran.
"The Enterprise is heading to Fifth Fleet waters and is not replacing any other ships in the area," a US Navy spokesperson told AFP without elaborating.
The US Navy has significantly beefed up its presence in the region recently amid growing concerns in the West that Iran is secretly developing a nuclear weapons programme -- an accusation Tehran strongly denies.

The long awaited US military attack on Iran is now on track for the first week of April, specifically for 4 AM on April 6, the Good Friday opening of Easter weekend, writes the well-known Russian journalist Andrei Uglanov in the Moscow weekly "Argumenty Nedeli." Uglanov cites Russian military experts close to the Russian General Staff for his account.
The attack is slated to last for twelve hours, according to Uglanov, lasting from 4 AM until 4 PM local time. Friday is a holiday in Iran. In the course of the attack, code named Operation Bite, about 20 targets are marked for bombing; the list includes uranium enrichment facilities, research centers, and laboratories.
The first reactor at the Bushehr nuclear plant, where Russian engineers are working, is supposed to be spared from destruction. The US attack plan reportedly calls for the Iranian air defense system to be degraded, for numerous Iranian warships to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, and the for the most important headquarters of the Iranian armed forces to be wiped out.
The attacks will be mounted from a number of bases, including the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Diego Garcia is currently home to B-52 bombers equipped with standoff missiles. Also participating in the air strikes will be US naval aviation from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, as well as from those of the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. Additional cruise missiles will be fired from submarines in the Indian Ocean and off the coast of the Arabian peninsula. The goal is allegedly to set back Iran's nuclear program by several years, writes Uglanov, whose article was re-issued by RIA-Novosti in various languages, but apparently not English, several days ago. The story is the top item on numerous Italian and German blogs, but so far appears to have been ignored by US websites.
Observers comment that this dispatch represents a high-level orchestrated leak from the Kremlin, in effect a war warning, which draws on the formidable resources of the Russian intelligence services, and which deserves to be taken with the utmost seriousness by pro-peace forces around the world.
Asked by RIA-Novosti to comment on the Uglanov report, retired Colonel General Leonid Ivashov confirmed its essential features in a March 21 interview: "I have no doubt that there will be an operation, or more precisely a violent action against Iran." Ivashov, who has reportedly served at various times as an informal advisor to Putin, is currently the Vice President of the Moscow Academy for Geopolitical Sciences.
Ivashov attributed decisive importance to the decision of the Democratic leadership of the US House of Representatives to remove language from the just-passed Iraq supplemental military appropriations bill which would have demanded that Bush come to Congress before launching an attack on Iran. Ivashov pointed out that the language was eliminated under pressure from AIPAC, the lobbing group representing the Israeli extreme right, and of Israeli Foreign Minister Tsipi Livni.
"We have drawn the unmistakable conclusion that this operation will take place," said Ivashov. In his opinion, the US planning does not include a land operation: " Most probably there will be no ground attack, but rather massive air attacks with the goal of annihilating Iran's capacity for military resistance, the centers of administration, the key economic assets, and quite possibly the Iranian political leadership, or at least part of it," he continued.
Ivashov noted that it was not to be excluded that the Pentagon would use smaller tactical nuclear weapons against targets of the Iranian nuclear industry. These attacks could paralyze everyday life, create panic in the population, and generally produce an atmosphere of chaos and uncertainty all over Iran, Ivashov told RIA-Novosti. "This will unleash a struggle for power inside Iran, and then there will be a peace delegation sent in to install a pro-American government in Teheran," Ivashov continued. One of the US goals was, in his estimation, to burnish the image of the current Republican administration, who would now be able to boast that they had wiped out the Iranian nuclear program.
Among the other outcomes, General Ivashov pointed to a partition of Iran along the same lines as Iraq, and a subsequent carving up of the Near and Middle East into smaller regions. "This concept worked well for them in the Balkans and will now be applied to the greater Middle East," he commented.
"Moscow must expert Russia's influence by demanding an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to deal with the current preparations for an illegal use of force against Iran and the destruction of the basis of the United Nations Charter," said General Ivashov. "In this context Russia could cooperate with China, France and the non-permanent members of the Security Council. We need this kind of preventive action to ward off the use of force," he concluded.

French national technical means show that, while the British troops are departing from the Iranian border area of southern Iraq, they are being replaced there by US troops. The surge is much larger than what has been discussed by Secretary Gates, with the re-enforcements which have already arrived in Iraq amounting to almost ten times what has been officially announced. The French conclude that this evidence points to active preparation of a US land incursion into Iranian territory by crossing the Iraq-Iran border, in addition to the air and naval bombardment of Iran. -----

And, he said, “The C.I.A. is asking, 'What’s going on?’ They’re concerned, because they think it’s amateur hour."
The issue of oversight is beginning to get more attention from Congress. "Republican Mitt Romney is urging state pension systems to divest from Iran, yet the presidential contender's former employer and the company he started have links to recent Iranian business interests or deals.
Romney joined Boston-based Bain & Co., a management consulting firm, in 1978 and worked there until 1984. He was CEO of Bain Capital, a venture capital firm, from 1984 to 1999, despite a two-year return as Bain & Co.'s chief executive officer from 1991 to 1992.
Bain & Co. Italy, described in company literature as "the Italian branch of Bain & Co.," received a $2.3 million contract from the National Iranian Oil Co., in September 2004. Its task was to develop a master plan so NIOC the state oil company of Iran could become one of the world's top oil companies, according to Iranian and U.S. news accounts of the deal.
Bain Capital, the venture capital firm that Romney started and made him a multimillionaire, teamed up with the Haier Group, a Chinese appliance maker that has a factory in Iran, in an unsuccessful 2005 buyout effort. [...] Bain & Co. spokeswoman Cheryl Krauss also said her company did not profit directly from the National Iranian Oil Co. deal, although it receives a licensing fee from Bain & Co. He offered both companies a firewall when asked Friday about the appropriateness of their dealings given his harsh rhetoric about Iran, as well as his calls for states to cease investment links with Iran.
"This is something for now-forward," Romney said after touring GT Solar Inc., a solar energy manufacturer in this early primary state where he talked about the importance of the U.S. weaning itself from oil produced by its enemies.
"I wouldn't begin to say that people who, in the past, have been doing business with Iran, are subject to the same scrutiny as that which is going on from a prospective basis," Romney added.
He said the importance of future divestment was underscored by an International Atomic Energy Agency report released Thursday. It said Iran has ignored a U.N. Security Council ultimatum to freeze uranium enrichment a possible pathway to nuclear arms and has instead expanded its program by setting up hundreds of centrifuges.
Yet Iran, described by President Bush as part of the "axis of evil," is hardly a fresh threat on the U.S. foreign policy radar.
During the past two months, Romney has challenged Massachusetts and other New England states to pull their pension funds from companies doing business in Iran.

This means that Cheney's controllers are preparing a new, false flag, state sponsored synthetic terrorist provocation using WMD or new Gulf of Tonkin fraud to use as a pretext for their aggression against Iran. "Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, has been confronted in congress over the US administration's failure to provide firm evidence for Iran's alleged nuclear weapons development.
Ron Paul, a Republican congressman, said: "Unproven charges against Iran's nuclear intentions are eerily reminiscent of the false charges made against Iraq."
Paul said "unproven accusations of Iranian support for the Iraqi insurgency" were also serving as a pretext for "escalating our sharp rhetoric towards Iran".
"Pressed for proof of dramatic claims of Iranian involvement in Iraq, the administration keeps promising that they are compiling it."
Paul was speaking as Rice presented the US state department's annual budget request to the congressional foreign affairs committee on Capitol Hill in Washington on Wednesday.
He said: "This sounds like Iraq, where accusations came first and proof was supposed to come later – only that proof never came because the accusations turned out to be false."
Paul referred to discredited allegations that Saddam Hussein's government was building weapons of mass destruction.
US officials have promised to make public what Sean McCormack, a state department spokesman, described as a "mountain of evidence" to back up allegations about Iranian involvement in attacks on US and allied forces in Iraq.
No such evidence has yet been put forward by the administration.
Rejecting Paul's suggestions, Rice said: "We are not planning or intending an attack on Iran.
"I should like here to postulate that were it not for DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPONRY theory emerging as a likely source of the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, Iran's nuclear facilities likely would have been attacked already.
Mind you, they still might be attacked; but the exposure of the use of directed-energy weapons (DEW) on WTC may well be the single most important reason why no such attack has occurred as yet simply because the aftermath of such an attack would bear too much resemblance to what "Ground Zero" looked like.
Picture this, an overhead view of one of Iran's nuclear sites. If DEW were used there, the likely outcome would be a subsequent photograph that contained what? DUSTIFICATION, HOLES, TOASTED CARS and little damage to any nearby non-targeted structures. In other words, it would look like the remnants of the attack on WTC:
Because Dr. Judy Wood has focused our attention on what ground zero actually looked like and what the attack actually looked like as it was taking place, and coupled that with DEW, any plans to use DEW on IRAN or elsewhere might well have been set back.
Judy has brought to the forefront of 9/11 Truth consciousness the effects of a DEW attack. If any such attack on Iran were to occur, the fact that Americans were killed by the same process might well filter down to the level of public awareness.
What then?
The inability to answer that last question might be the single most important reason why use of DEW is being postponed.
Needless to say, with that kind of consideration out in the open, we can see why, for good reason, the effort to discredit Judy Wood has reached fever pitch. And the effort will fail; all the moreso if we start using the information available to us a little more openly. ----
