Washington DC, Oct. 19 -- Colin Powell, who five years ago deliberately lied to the UN Security Council about non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, now craves public attention for his endorsement of the totalitarian demagogue Obama. Powell is promising national rebirth under Obama, the evident darling of the ruling financier elite. Does Sir Colin (who was knighted by the Queen of England for his services in killing Arabs) still believe in Saddam's WMDs? It looks like the same people who brought us the catastrophic Iraq war are determined to install Obama in the White House.

Powell is one of the most pompous and monumental failures in American public life. He has played a leading role in every US policy debacle of the last half-century, including Vietnam, the Iraq-Kuwait war, and now the Iraq war. He also served as a helper to Frank Carlucci in suppressing the White House evidence that would have sent Bush the elder to the federal pen as a result of Iran-contra gun running and drug running twenty years ago. Powell is known to get his marching orders from an intelligence network that stretches from the CIA to the Pentagon, and which includes such unsavory figures as Richard Armitage (the man who outed Valerie Plame), who is probably still Powell's best friend. Powell has brought this country many disasters, and he now wants to bring us a truly incalculable one -- a seizure of power by the totalitarian trio of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.

Why is the discredited and hated liar Powell coming out of the obscurity of his retirement to pontificate about the superiority of Obama? The best bet is that he is angling for a political plum job for his sleazy, no-talent, and nepotistic son, Michael Powell, who did such an incompetent job as head of the Federal Communications Commission during the first term of the current Bush. Powell used libertarian cover to serve the telecom monopolies and cartels while seeking to suppress free speech. It is well known Michael Powell got his FCC chairmanship thanks to lobbying and influence peddling by his famous father, and for no other reason. Thanks to daddy, Michael has since become a trustee of the genocidal RAND Corporation, where Zbigniew Brzezinski and others make strategy for their puppet Obama. Now, with the prospect of an Obama regime, Colin Powell is anxious to take care of his feckless son for the decade ahead.

Colin Powell recalls the story of another soldier turned politician -- Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, who was a top German commander in World War I and then President of Germany under the Weimar republic. Von Hindenburg had his own corrupt and greedy son, Oskar von Hindenburg. Oskar, like Michael Powell, had only made it to being a field grade officer and had then turned to political influence peddling, trading on his father's famous name. Oskar became involved in corruption and embezzlement schemes, and built up huge gambling debts. Field Marshall von Hindenburg's desire to protect his son and advance his career was one of the main reasons the elderly German President dropped his long-standing opposition to naming a certain Bohemian corporal named Adolf Hitler as chancellor in January 1933. President Hindenburg put the needs of his wastrel son over the fate of his nation, and Colin Powell seems to be doing the same thing today. In retrospect, we know the terrible price paid by the German people for Hindenburg's weakness in 1933. What price will the American people have to pay for a seizure of power by the Obama machine? It is not too late to make sure that we never find out.

The cosmonaut's reference to the steel nanodust plume as "smoke" in the following release is troublesome. Veteran 9/11 analyst Nico Haupt has speculated this kind of talk may indicate a limited "thermite" hangout as other nations seek to implicate American officials in 9/11 while still sweeping the space weaponry issue under the rug. Washington DC, Sept. 9, 2008 – Thierry Meyssan reports from Moscow that he and other leading international 9/11 truth experts have completed taping a television debate which will be telecast on the first national program of Russian state television this coming Friday, September 12. This no-holds barred, free-wheeling debate, featuring strongly divergent opinions about what really happened on and about September 11, 2001, will be shown in conjunction with the documentary film Zero, produced and directed by Chiesa and Franco Fracassi of Telemaco Productions in Rome. Russians are thus about to receive an unprecedented evening of 9/11 truth.

The telecast will go out in the middle of prime time. Among the participants, General Leonid Ivashov was the commander of the Russian armed forces on September 11, 2001, and has been a leading critic of the US official version. A leading strategic thinker for his country, Ivashov is currently a fellow of the Strategic Culture Foundation (fondsk.ru) in Moscow. Giulietto Chiesa is a member of the European Parliament in Brussels, representing the region around Asti in northwest Italy. Chiesa has been the leading spokesman for 9/11 truth issues in the European Parliament, and has been the prime mover behind the documentary film Zero, as well as the collection of essays by the same name which has also attracted much attention in Italy since being published in the late summer of 2007. Thierry Meyssan, the founder and leader of the Voltaire Network in Paris, was one of the first critics of the US official story about 9/11. He is the author of several books, including 9/11: The Big Lie, and Pentagate. He also organized the Axis for Peace conference in Brussels in November 2005.

Among almost a dozen Russian participants in the debate that will be televised Friday evening in Moscow, one of the most compelling speakers was a Russian cosmonaut who observed the 9/11 events from his post on the International Space Station in earth orbit. This cosmonaut recounts in the telecast that, as he watched the immense plume of smoke spread from New York out over the Atlantic, he took a large number of photos and films which were sent automatically to both Houston and Moscow. “We have been studying these images very, very, carefully,” commented the cosmonaut pointedly, “and we have seen some highly interesting things.”

The host for the debate stressed that this landmark telecast did not imply that the Kremlin administration of President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin was officially espousing any particular point of view concerning 9/11, but rather reflected a commitment to free and open debate. Nevertheless, observers in the Russian capital sense a far-reaching change of mood by the Russian government in the wake of the August 7-8 genocidal attack on South Ossetia by the Georgian dictator and US satellite Saakashvili. The Russians, according to this view, are through with doing favors for the US, especially in regard to Washington’s official myths about 9/11 and the war on terror, and this telecast will deliver that message in a clear and unmistakable way.

"Wondering why Congressman Kucinich has withdrawn his impeachment resolution against Cheney, and dropped out of impeachment in general? Wondering why the Los Angeles Impeachment Center has decided to liquidate itself and shut down? Wondering why impeachment meetups across the US are folding? Wondering why so many left-liberal spokesmen are dropping the impeachment issue like a hot potato? All signs suggest that the demagogic needs of the Obama presidential campaign provide the answer. Impeachment is being sabotaged by left-wing Democrats now moving to support Obama so as to spare the messianic Illinois senator the political embarrassment of having to comment on a serious impeachment effort, which his craven rejection of political struggle makes a taboo. In effect, Obama’s phobia against impeachment is even stronger than Hillary’s.

As is well known, Obama's fatuous utopian rhetoric promises a golden age and earthly paradise of political harmony in which all real conflicts will be magically neutralized and submerged by the senator's personal charisma. Above all, partisan political clashes will be forbidden. Well, the impeachment of Bush-Cheney is a vital necessity for the future survival of representative government in this country, but carrying it out will necessarily be a rather acrimonious and partisan business. Obama cannot tolerate such a messy process, which might interfere with his ability to float like a seraph above the ignorant armies who clash by night. Struggle in any form is not part of Obama's playbook; it might upset Goldman Sachs, Soros, and his other Wall Street contributors – to say nothing of the fussy independent voters upon whom Obama’s future rests. It might not play well in the wealthy suburbs. It might spoil his carefully cultivated apolitical, post-partisan image.

Therefore, it is clear, the word has gone out to Obama's leftist backers: impeachment must be dumped, betrayed, sandbagged, and sabotaged without further ado. That is what is now happening. Congressman Kucinich shocked his supporters by telling them to support Obama on the second go-round in the Iowa caucuses. Now he has dropped out of the race and abandoned his own signature issue.

Every vote for Obama is a vote to take impeachment off the agenda – forever. Obama supporters should get ready to live with those Bush-Cheney precedents, signing statements, and practices of entrenched totalitarian corruption for the rest of their lives. If Obama wins the day, there will be no question of impeachment, the only way to wipe the slate clean of all the Bush-Cheney obscenities. Obama and impeachment are incompatible. Impeachment supporters should dump the Illinois senator – the cause of impeachment is far more important than the vapid slogans dished up by Zbigniew Brzezinski’s puppet Obama.

Tonight's History Channel program on 9/11 Conspiracies - Fact or Fiction shows how powerful our movement has become, and how contemptible our opposition is. The deck was stacked, the animations were distorted and fantastic, and the framework was rather nasty, but this was of course NBC News, read GE, which is now a hedge fund in drag. And even NBC News, often the slimiest of the networks, has been forced to pretend to refute numerous factual criticisms of the official story, one by one. I say pretend because most of the refutations were simply blanket denials, with no facts or reasoning beyond mere assertions that the 9/11 truth theses are not true, offend the families, are disgusting, or "corrosive," and other meaningless verbiage. Some of the attempts at substantive refutation involved dodges and subterfuges that seemed new, at least to me. It sounded like one of their pseudo-experts was arguing that the wings of the alleged airplane at the Pentagon had broken off through hitting objects on the Pentagon lawn. If that was so, where are the wings and the jet engines on that pristine Pentalawn? This pitiful construct is self-contradictory and destroys itself. We also heard that building 7 was hollow at the base, quite an achievement under the New York City building code. The bottom of building 7 was, we now discover, an amphitheater, with no support columns, but only trusses! I guess if your argument is ruptured, then you need a truss. Another pseudo-expert thought that a commercial aircraft could transform itself into an artillery shell or tank round and punch through the Pentagon rings that way, despite the obvious difficulty. CIA man Michael Scheuer says all the evidence points to al Qaeda, but where is all that evidence, Mike? There was none in this program, to be sure. Otherwise, Mike was reduced to some pitiful whining that there are too decent patriotic people in the CIA - a moot point.

Some of the little people had obviously been leaned on to get them to change their testimony. But that was done with a nominalist stupidity worthy of William of Okham, the dumbest philosopher of the late Middle Ages. The wretched New York TV reporter had to say that he had reported secondary explosions, but not bombs. What precisely is the difference, when heard from afar? The poor Shanksville coroner had said that after a few minutes at the crash site, he had stopped being a coroner because there were no bodies. Now he says that he meant that he became an undertaker. Again, what is the distinction he is driving at? Where there bodies yes or no?

Most of the refutations were weak, fishy, lame, and unconvincing. In particular, any time they have to bring on Chip Berlet, that well-known gutter-dwelling character assassin and mercenary of the foundations, you know they are in big trouble, and he was quite prominent. I believe strongly in the victory of reality over fabrication and lies, and I suspect that this was the response of many viewers tonight. If we had a focus group, we could be sure, but I think more 9/11 came into the world than there were doubters who fell back into the official version based on this program.

But look at all the important factual material they had to present. The viewers got to see the squibs coming out of the twin towers. They got to see building 7 coming down, with ample comparisons to controlled demolition cases. They got to hear and see the infamous Silverstein. They got to see the singed hole in the internal rings of the Pentagon. They got to see the Shanksville crater. They got to hear about false flag operations from a chorus of authoritative voices, and for that there was no refutation. They also got a good source list for further research: Loose Change was prominent, as were Alex Jones and 9/11 Mysteries. Thierry Meyssan, the founder of our worldwide movement, got more recognition tonight than he has ever received in this country, and it is about time - his book the Big Lie is and remains a classic. They go to know David Ray Griffin, Bob Bowman, Jim Fetzer and many more. There was even a plug for my own 9/11 Synthetic Terror. Any serious, intelligent person - and there still are some - knows exactly where to go to find out more, and that can only be a big plus.

Part of the genius of the 9/11 truth movement is our ability to make even the financier-controlled media spread our ideas and work for us. Despite the worst intentions of NBC News, I would say that this is what they have accomplished. They have kept 9/11 truth research in the public eye. There is an old Broadway saying - "A knock is a boost." In other words, if we are so obscure and so crazy, why do we merit any attention at all? Or, as the Roman put it - "Bona fama, mala fama, semper fama" - good fame, bad fame, it's all fame, and we'll take it - the wisdom of the ancients.

Two-hour documentaries are not cheap and need to get some ratings. Clearly we are not so obscure as NBC News would have us believe. In fact, if we can hold off the new 9/11 for a few more months, 2007 may turn out to be our finest hour.

"By deciding to ante up $38 billion for a hopeless bailout of predatory Wall Street hedge funds and the banks that stand behind them, Federal Reserve Chairman Helicopter Ben Bernanke has placed the bankrupt US dollar on a direct course towards the precipice of hyperinflation. In so doing, he has given new momentum to the backers and controllers of Dick Cheney, who favor an insane flight forward into general war with Iran, deluding themselves that they can thus escape from both military defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan, and from the death agony of the dollar.

On August 9-10, the European Central Bank, the Bank of Japan, the Federal Reserve, plus the central banks of Australia, Norway, Switzerland, and other countries “injected” the equivalent about a third of a trillion dollars ($325 billion) into the money systems of the world. The Bank of Japan handed out a dramatic ¥ 1 trillion, about $8.5 billion. The European Central Bank showed signs of panic, or of realism, by spewing out about € 160 billion over two days. Their goal was to stave off a spreading panic at bond trading desks and in the capital markets of the world about junk bonds, collateralized debt obligations (CDOS), mortgage backed securities, and other paper debt instruments. At about 9 AM on Friday August 10, the Chicago futures markets suggested that the Dow Jones Industrial average would open down about 190 points. That meant the potential for spreading stock market panic, with the DJIA closing down 1,000 to 2,000 points or more by the end of the day, quite possibly pitching more banks and hedge funds into bankruptcy. Such an event would also tend to awaken the US middle class to the fact that their 401 (K) and IRA pension plans were being liquidated. This would make the financial crisis a political crisis as well, and perhaps stoke the fires of impeachment. Helicopter Ben therefore followed his predecessor, Bubbles Greenspan, on the path of bailout, although on a larger scale than what Greenspan had ever attempted in public. Bernanke and the New York Fed bought up $38 billion of toxic mortgage-backed securities from the principal hyenas of Wall Street -- led, we can be sure, by Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, J.P. Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, and Citibank. For bailout purposes, the banks were given a sweetheart interest rate, just 4%, less than the 5.25% target Fed funds rate used for interbank lending, and much less than the 6.25% the Fed requires from banks coming to its own discount window under normal circumstances. The $38 billion, injected in three doses during the course of the day, in addition to other Fed measures, was almost enough to prop the market up for eight hours – the Dow closed with a loss of 31 points. So the central banks will need to provide more fixes, sooner rather than later.

As Alan Greenspan instructed Bill Clinton when the latter took office, the bond market, also referred to as the capital or credit market, is much more important than the stock market in the current US-UK financial system. Right now not just dubious junk bonds and mortgage-backed securities, but even the classic triple A investment grade corporate bonds, are in great distress. Indeed, the bond market has partially shut down in response to the crisis. This is far more serious than a mere stock market crash, such as the one of October 1987.

The Bank of England has said nothing about injections, and is poised to raise its interest rates once again, putting additional pressure on the dollar by tempting hot money to flee out of Wall Street to London. The British may well figure that when the battered US greenback goes under, the British pound sterling will remain afloat, and benefit from the US shipwreck. London has in any case already replaced New York as the real financial capital of the world; this has been a strategic priority for Gordon Brown for some years.

A few days ago, a group of lawyers from western Massachusetts met with the local congressman, Democrat John Olver. Their request was that Olver take part in the urgent effort to impeach Bush and Cheney. Olver responded by saying that he had no intention of doing anything to support impeachment. He went further, offering the information that the United States would soon attack Iran, and that these hostilities would be followed by the imposition of a martial law regime here.

According to reports in the British press, the Cheney war party has gained the upper hand in the secret councils of the Bush White House, pushing aside the purported hesitations of Miss Rice, Secretary Gates, and the NATO allies to chart a direct course towards war with Iran:

'The balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favour of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months, the Guardian has learned. The shift follows an internal review involving the White House, the Pentagon and the state department over the last month. Although the Bush administration is in deep trouble over Iraq, it remains focused on Iran. A well-placed source in Washington said: "Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo." ...at a meeting of the White House, Pentagon and state department last month, Mr Cheney expressed frustration at the lack of progress and Mr Bush sided with him. "The balance has tilted. There is cause for concern," the source said this week. ... "Cheney has limited capital left, but if he wanted to use all his capital on this one issue, he could still have an impact," said Patrick Cronin, the director of studies at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.' Deluded supporters of the Democratic Party may soon have to throw away their pathetic countdown clocks, those self-consoling little devices that remind them of how much time remains until noon on January 20, 2009, the moment when it is thought that Bush will finally leave office. These countdown clocks make no provision for the Cheney doctrine, which calls for a new super 9/11 with weapons of mass destruction in the US, to be used as the pretext for a nuclear attack on Iran and for martial law at home. Those who think the Republicans cannot hold the White House in 2008 have forgotten that neocons always prefer a coup d'etat to an election. As Cheney told Bob Schieffer of CBS's Face the Nation on April 15, 2007:

'The greatest threat now is "a 9/11 occurring with a group of terrorists armed not with airline tickets and box cutters, but with a nuclear weapon in the middle of one of our own cities."'

Pelosi and Reid need to toss out their fatuous countdown clocks, and get out their impeachment stopwatches - fast.

The long awaited US military attack on Iran is now on track for the first week of April, specifically for 4 AM on April 6, the Good Friday opening of Easter weekend, writes the well-known Russian journalist Andrei Uglanov in the Moscow weekly "Argumenty Nedeli." Uglanov cites Russian military experts close to the Russian General Staff for his account.

The attack is slated to last for twelve hours, according to Uglanov, lasting from 4 AM until 4 PM local time. Friday is a holiday in Iran. In the course of the attack, code named Operation Bite, about 20 targets are marked for bombing; the list includes uranium enrichment facilities, research centers, and laboratories.

The first reactor at the Bushehr nuclear plant, where Russian engineers are working, is supposed to be spared from destruction. The US attack plan reportedly calls for the Iranian air defense system to be degraded, for numerous Iranian warships to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, and the for the most important headquarters of the Iranian armed forces to be wiped out.

The attacks will be mounted from a number of bases, including the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Diego Garcia is currently home to B-52 bombers equipped with standoff missiles. Also participating in the air strikes will be US naval aviation from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, as well as from those of the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. Additional cruise missiles will be fired from submarines in the Indian Ocean and off the coast of the Arabian peninsula. The goal is allegedly to set back Iran's nuclear program by several years, writes Uglanov, whose article was re-issued by RIA-Novosti in various languages, but apparently not English, several days ago. The story is the top item on numerous Italian and German blogs, but so far appears to have been ignored by US websites.

Observers comment that this dispatch represents a high-level orchestrated leak from the Kremlin, in effect a war warning, which draws on the formidable resources of the Russian intelligence services, and which deserves to be taken with the utmost seriousness by pro-peace forces around the world.

Asked by RIA-Novosti to comment on the Uglanov report, retired Colonel General Leonid Ivashov confirmed its essential features in a March 21 interview: "I have no doubt that there will be an operation, or more precisely a violent action against Iran." Ivashov, who has reportedly served at various times as an informal advisor to Putin, is currently the Vice President of the Moscow Academy for Geopolitical Sciences.

Ivashov attributed decisive importance to the decision of the Democratic leadership of the US House of Representatives to remove language from the just-passed Iraq supplemental military appropriations bill which would have demanded that Bush come to Congress before launching an attack on Iran. Ivashov pointed out that the language was eliminated under pressure from AIPAC, the lobbing group representing the Israeli extreme right, and of Israeli Foreign Minister Tsipi Livni.

"We have drawn the unmistakable conclusion that this operation will take place," said Ivashov. In his opinion, the US planning does not include a land operation: " Most probably there will be no ground attack, but rather massive air attacks with the goal of annihilating Iran's capacity for military resistance, the centers of administration, the key economic assets, and quite possibly the Iranian political leadership, or at least part of it," he continued.

Ivashov noted that it was not to be excluded that the Pentagon would use smaller tactical nuclear weapons against targets of the Iranian nuclear industry. These attacks could paralyze everyday life, create panic in the population, and generally produce an atmosphere of chaos and uncertainty all over Iran, Ivashov told RIA-Novosti. "This will unleash a struggle for power inside Iran, and then there will be a peace delegation sent in to install a pro-American government in Teheran," Ivashov continued. One of the US goals was, in his estimation, to burnish the image of the current Republican administration, who would now be able to boast that they had wiped out the Iranian nuclear program.

Among the other outcomes, General Ivashov pointed to a partition of Iran along the same lines as Iraq, and a subsequent carving up of the Near and Middle East into smaller regions. "This concept worked well for them in the Balkans and will now be applied to the greater Middle East," he commented.

"Moscow must expert Russia's influence by demanding an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to deal with the current preparations for an illegal use of force against Iran and the destruction of the basis of the United Nations Charter," said General Ivashov. "In this context Russia could cooperate with China, France and the non-permanent members of the Security Council. We need this kind of preventive action to ward off the use of force," he concluded.

French national technical means show that, while the British troops are departing from the Iranian border area of southern Iraq, they are being replaced there by US troops. The surge is much larger than what has been discussed by Secretary Gates, with the re-enforcements which have already arrived in Iraq amounting to almost ten times what has been officially announced. The French conclude that this evidence points to active preparation of a US land incursion into Iranian territory by crossing the Iraq-Iran border, in addition to the air and naval bombardment of Iran.

This means that Cheney's controllers are preparing a new, false flag, state sponsored synthetic terrorist provocation using WMD or new Gulf of Tonkin fraud to use as a pretext for their aggression against Iran. It will likely be a new 9/11, in just the same way that the original 9/11 was a deliberate provocation by the US defense establishment and rogue intelligence forces designed to unleash the war of civilizations -- including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and other states. It is high time to understand this reality. "Members of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a non-partisan organization of students, experts and scholars dedicated to exposing falsehoods and revealing truths about 9/11, have some bones to pick with CBS NEWS for an article entitled, "Dangerous World Fuels Conspiracy Theorists" (30 January 2007). According to James H. Fetzer, the society's founder, "It is chock full of false assertions, even including misidentification of Steven Jones, my former co-chair, as the society 's founder."

"That is rather rich," Fetzer said. "Steve and I have had a parting of the ways over differences in our attitude and approach toward the science and the politics of 9/11 research. But if he had been 'the founder', he should have been conducting a 'house cleaning', not abandoning ship." The split between them, Fetzer added, has had a beneficial effect. "A cult-like atmosphere had developed around him, which I considered to be bad for scientific research on 9/11."

The CBS report focuses on Gary Welz, an adjunct lecturer at John Jay Criminal College and Lafayette University, who told a CBS reporter, Alfonso Serrano, that he had left Scholars in December following Jones "after other prominent members of Scholars began promoting wacky explanations for the fall of the twin towers." Fetzer replied, "That's wrong on several accounts, including that the Twin Towers did not 'fall' but disintegrated from massive sources of energy."

"Which theories are 'wacky' appears to depend upon how much you know about a subject," observed Judy Wood, a prominent member of Scholars. "When you consider the extent of the devastation of the World Trade Center, the very modest damage to its foundation, and as many as 1,400 'toasted' cars as much as a mile from ground zero, for example, any explanation that is based upon conventional explosives, including Steve Jones' own hypothesis, is going to look 'wacky' to those who know enough about the evidence in this case."

Although Jones has suggested that thermite and thermate could have brought down the Twin Towers, in a recent chapter in a new book edited by David Ray Griffin and Peter Dale Scott, 9/11 and American Empire (2007), Jones expresses astonishment that the top thirty floors of the South Tower started to fall but "turned mostly to powder in mid-air," an effect that his hypothesis cannot explain. "Indeed," Fetzer said, "other recognized scholars, such as Webster Griffin Tarpley, 9/11: Synthetic Terror (2005), have observed that an adequate explanation of the devastation to the WTC will almost certainly require the use of high-tech, directed energy weapons."

Among the claims CBS reported that are inaccurate or outdated, the statistics for skepticism from a Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll have been superseded by a New York Times/CBS poll conducted last October, which showed that 53% of Americans doubt The 9/11 Report and 28% reject it completely, which means that 81% of the American people don't believe what the government has told them. "I don't quite understand how a CBN NEWS report could overlook the results of a poll in which CBS participated," Fetzer observed.

Wood pointed out that Jones' hypothesis is based on three primary sources of evidence: studies of dust samples, a waterfall-like flow of molten metal from the South Tower, and photographs that show workmen peering into a cavern glowing with molten metal. "I think Steve needs to think more about his own evidence," she said. "The dust samples were non-random and, if these photographs were authentic, the heat should have melted the skin from their faces." ...

Fetzer said, "another student of the case, Frank Greening, discovered a possible alternative explanation for the waterfall-like flow of molten metal, which Jones had insisted had to be molten iron caused by thermite or thermate. "Apparently, Fuji Bank had installed a massive assemblage of server-sized lead batteries around the 80th floor. Since lead melts at a much lower temperature than steel," Fetzer added, "that might explain this peculiar phenomenon, which was distinctive to this location."

[...]"The situation is even more awkward for the government than that," said Wood. "The buildings are actually turning to dust from the top down. It is as though two enormous trees were turning to sawdust before our eyes. The concrete floors, the desks, chairs, computers, even human beings and other living things, are being pulverized by some massive source of energy, which neither Jones' hypothesis nor the official account can explain. We are attempting to determine how this was done, but it probably involved the use of weapons that are classified. There's nothing 'wacky' about trying to figure it out."[...]

The adjunct math lecturer it cites, Gary Welz, told CBS NEWS that he is not a "conspiracy theorist" because he is not convinced there was a government conspiracy. "If that's his position," Fetzer replied, "that's very peculiar. I can't imagine a serious member of Scholars who wouldn't be able to demonstrate that the government has been lying to the American people based upon studies at our web site, 911scholars.org. For CBS NEWS to put out a misleading and false report without consulting relevant experts," he observed, "makes this a stellar example of irresponsible reporting. It's a hatchet job!"

"A phone call could have cleared up these misconceptions," Fetzer said, "but Alfonso probably knew how he wanted to spin this. We have proven that the official account cannot possibly be true and are trying to figure out how it was done." He smiled and said, "It is ironic that more accurate information about Scholars for 9/11 Truth can be found in HUSTLER than on CBS NEWS."...

"ANOMALIES OF THE WTC COLLAPSE
The twin towers did not simply collapse as a result of gravity; they were violently pulverized in mid-air in an explosive process which hurled debris hundreds of meters in all directions – they were vaporized by an explosive force. Anomalies abound. The North Tower was hit first ... the South Tower's fires were less severe – but the South Tower fell first. WTC 7 was never hit by anything, and had fires only on two floors (there are no photos of WTC 7 enveloped in flames and smoke) – but WTC 7 fell anyway. WTC 6 witnessed an explosion and fire which has never been explained or even addressed.

Finally, we have the embarrassing fact that steel frame skyscrapers are virtually indestructible by fire. The official version of events argues that, at least as far as the towers are concerned, it was the combined effect of crash impact plus fire which caused the collapses. But even the South Tower collapsed well after most of the jet fuel had burned away, and a fire based on paper, rugs, and furniture melts steel even less than one based on jet fuel. By all indications, the South Tower began the collapse sequence precisely at the moment when, well after the impact had been absorbed, the fires too were subsiding. The hole made in the North Tower by American 11 had cooled so much that, just before the collapse of the North Tower, survivors were observed looking out through the gash in the side of the building. (Marr 41)

The upper floors of both towers, after showing symptoms of high pressure which forced smoke out through the widows, exploded into spectacular mushroom clouds. Debris and other ejecta were thrown at speeds of 200 feet per second to distances of up to 500 feet in all directions. The clouds then descended, always emanating from the towers as these fell.

The mushroom clouds had expanded to two or three times the diameter of the towers after five seconds, and had expanded to five times the diameter of the towers after 15 seconds. Blast waves broke windows in buildings over 400 feet away. In the thick mushroom clouds, solid objects were hurled out ahead of the dust, another telltale sign of explosive demolition.

One might have expected the buildings to tip over at an angle starting at the points where they had been hit like a tree which leaves a stump as it falls towards the side where it has been most chopped, but instead they did not topple and there were no stumps; apart from some initial asymmetry in the top of the South Tower, the two towers both collapsed down on themselves in a perfectly symmetrical way – a suspicious sign, since this is one of the prime goals and hallmarks of controlled demolition.

The fall of the twin towers took place at breathtaking speed. The tops of the buildings reached the ground as rubble no more than 16 seconds after the collapse process had begun. A weight in a vacuum would have taken 9.2 seconds to cover the same distance. This meant that air resistance and little else had slowed the fall of the upper stories. This indicates that the lower floors must have been demolished and pulverized before the upper stories fell on them. The building, in other words, had been pulverized, and in many areas vaporized, in mid-air. No gravity collapse could have created this phenomenon.

The non-metallic elements of the twin towers, especially the cement slabs which formed the horizontal surface of each floor, were pulverized into a fine dust, with particles of less than 100 microns in diameter. This was the dust which pervaded lower Manhattan as the explosive clouds spread from hundreds of yards in all directions. This dust took a long time to settle, but the Giuliani administration tried to convince office workers in the area that there was no danger. All the steel in the building superstructures was simply shredded. The exceptionally strong central core columns were neatly diced into 10- or 20- floor segments – something which has never been explained.

According to Jim Hoffman ... the energy necessary to create the mushroom clouds and expand them to the extraordinary dimensions actually observed to pulverize virtually all the concrete in the towers, and to chop the steel into segments is far greater than the gravitational energy represented by the buildings in the first place. According to Hoffman, there must have been powerful additional energy sources at work. When prodded to do so at recent conferences, Hoffman has been willing to speculate that these energy sources might have been unconventional ones. High energy microwave interferometry using coaxial beams for constructive and destructive interference might be a possibility, but this would require so much energy that, if it had to be delivered as conventional electric current, it would necessitate a cable about half a meter in diameter – and there is no evidence of this. So the problem remains intractable.

THE TWIN TOWERS WERE ROBUST STRUCTURES

The twin towers were robust structures. The structure of the twin towers was represented first of all by an internal core of 47 steel box columns which measured 36 by 90 centimeters; the steel was thickest near the base, where it attained a thickness of 10 centimeters (about four inches), and tapered gradually down to 6 centimeters on the upper floors. There were 236 exterior columns in the buildings' facades; these were 10 centimeters thick at the base, but only 6 millimeters thick in the highest floors. Each floor was a steel plate into which concrete had been poured. In the center of the building was a reinforced core featuring four steel columns encased in concrete. The structure is abundantly cross-braced, so that stress in one sector could be efficiently shifted to other parts of the structure. All steel columns rested directly on the bedrock under Manhattan.

This structures had been designed to withstand 140 mile per hour winds, and had resisted them successfully for more than thirty years. They had been designed by Lee Robertson, the structural engineer who built the towers to absorb the impact of a Boeing 707, an aircraft roughly comparable in size and fuel capacity to the aircraft that appear to have struck the towers on 9/11.

In the case of the twin towers, the technical problem of how to account for the immense quantities of energy released would seem to point to an energy source beyond the capabilities of conventional controlled demolition. For a possible explanation of what kind of energy source could have been at work, we must turn our attention to the realm of new physical principles, and thus to the class of directed energy weapons which are probably most familiar to the general public in connection with President Reagan's so-called star wars speech of March 23, 1983. We may be dealing here with high energy microwave interferometry using coaxial beams for constructive and destructive interference. The inherent problem with this conjecture, as engineer Ken Jenkins has pointed out, is that such a device would require a power cable half a meter in diameter, and the presence of such a power cable has not been demonstrated. The solution to this problem will indeed require more time and research.

The escalation announced in Bush's January 10 television speech was much bigger than many expected: the threats he made against Iran and Syria threaten a wider US aggression, quite possibly carried out with nuclear weapons. In addition to his 21,000 extra GIS, Bush is sending an additional carrier battle group and Patriot missiles to the Gulf. Admiral Fallon, the new Centcom commander, is a carrier admiral trained in air attacks, not land warfare. John "Death Squads" Negroponte, Rice's new deputy at the State Department, is said to be assembling a team of private contractors to prepare the attack on Iran. Russian intelligence reports indicate that there are four US missile-fi ring submarines in the Gulf. The London Sunday Times says that the Israeli air force is actively drilling for a sneak attack on Iranian military facilities at Natanz, Isfahan, and Bushehr. The ING international banking group is telling its clients that the Israelis may attack Iran in February or March. February 17 or March 18, the preferred sneak attack times of the new moon, may thus mark the beginning of a regional Middle East war, a war tending to slide into World War III.

THE 9/11 MYTH IS THE EXPLICIT BASIS OF ALL THE WARS

Bush's bedrock motivation for this pattern of lunatic escalation is the racist, militarist, and fascist offi cial explanation of the events of September 11, 2001, especially as codifi ed in the discredited Kean-Hamilton 9/11 commission report.

The premise of Bush's argument in his escalation speech is this: "On September the 11th, 2001, we saw what a refuge for extremists on the other side of the world could bring to the streets of our own cities. For the safety of our people, America must succeed in Iraq." A few days later, Dick Cheney evoked the offi cial nightmare vision of 9/11 in when he told an interviewer that legislators who want to cut the funding for the Iraq adventure are playing into the hands of Bin Laden and al Qaeda.Senator Lieberman, the most extreme Democratic warmonger, cited the offi cial 9/11 myth not once but twice when he appeared on Meet the Press the Sunday after Bush's speech. On the day after Bush spoke, fascist talk show host Rush Limbaugh spouted a lengthy tirade about 9/11 and the 3,000 dead – a sure indication that these themes were mandated by the notorious Karl Rove faxes, which are known to go out to the leading right wing extremists of the airwaves.

Peace activists often ask why the 9/11 truth movement insists on making the truth about terrorism a central component of anti-war agitation. One answer is that we bring up 9/11 frequently because Bush and Cheney do – they incessantly parrot slogans about the "global war on terror" and "the lessons of 9/11." Bush claims that he is fi ghting terrorists in Iraq so that the US will not have to fi ght them over here. He raves that, if US forces pull out of Iraq, the terrorists will follow them back home and launch attacks on US territory. There can be no doubt that 9/11 is the foundation of Bush's castle of warmonger lying – the fountainhead, motivation, and legitimation of the entire policy of unilateral aggression. To ignore the centrality of 9/11 to Bush's every move is like trying to fight Hitler without mentioning anti-Semitism.

Attacks on Bush that do not include 9/11 truth are simply impotent, and will not be effective.

The flawed assessment offered by the Baker-Hamilton report neglects a crucial aspect of the political-military situation of the US and other foreign armed forces in Iraq: the danger that the US army of occupation might be cut off, encircled, and annihilated as a fighting force over the next few months. This flaw in turn makes it easier for Baker-Hamilton to reject a priori the one rational response to the current reality, which is the extrication of US forces before it is too late. We do not need a new way forward in Iraq; we require a speedy way out of Iraq.

The real argument concerning Iraq has nothing to do with victory; the issue is now avoiding catastrophic military defeat for the US, in a form far worse than the Baker-Hamilton group has chosen to imagine. The looming specter is the worst of military cataclysms – a battle of annihilation on the model of the Romans at Cannae, L. Crassus at Carrhae, or of von Paulus at Stalingrad.

US forces attempting to defend a zone of occupation deep within landlocked Iraq now face an extraordinarily critical situation. These forces are wholly dependent on a supply line based on two roads on either side of the Euphrates which stretch some 400 miles (about 650 km) from Kuwait north towards Baghdad. It is along these roads that gasoline, food, ammunition, and all other sinews of war must be transported by truck convoy. Two roads of 400 miles each add up to 800 miles of highway to defend – an impossible proposition in the face of a sustained people’s war by the Shiites of the lower Euphrates. The Iraqi resistance understood early on that these truck convoys represented a grave vulnerability for the occupation forces, and this has been the key to their most effective weapon so far, the improvised roadside bomb or IED. This vital aorta of supplies could now be cut in several places at once by the Shiite guerrillas of the Mahdi army or related groups.

The thought might gag an ordinary mortal. But Barrett, who has had Foxloads of offal slung in his general direction by knuckle-dragging yahoos, is no stranger to the foul and flatulent. The fact that "Mr. Bill" is just a life-sized two-dimensional mock-up seems not to have lightened Barrett’s burden.

The O’Reilly Harbor Toss is Barrett’s response to a thinly-veiled threat from Mr. Bill. During his program on 11 July, O'Reilly expressed dismay that Barrett, one of 80 university-affiliated Ph.D. members of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, was being allowed to teach: "At the University of Wisconsin there are no standards. . . . I'm stunned. This guy would have been gone at Boston University, my alma mater, in a heartbeat. The Chancellor there, John Silber, would of--would have--this guy'd be in the Charles River floating down, you know, toward the harbor." [...]

"FILIBUSTER AL QAEDA FOUNDER ROBERT GATES

The nomination of Robert Gates to be Secretary of Defense must be rejected. Gates is deeply implicated in three decades of crimes by the intelligence community. There is no reason to think he intends to begin the necessary rapid departure of US forces from Iraq. His nomination by Bush can only be read as a deliberate provocation directed against the new Democratic Congress. Will the Democrats fight back, or will they capitulate? The American people are watching the Democratic Senators carefully, and they are appalled by the self-congratulatory and clubby narcissism of the Senate at a time when US forces are facing encirclement and decimation in Iraq and Afghanistan. . Senators must not only vote against Gates; they must stop the confirmation process with a filibuster. A look at Gates’ sordid record shows why.

Robert Gates was an integral part of the gun-running, drug-running, and death squad murders lumped under the heading of the Iran-Contra scandal. Gates started in Iran-contra as a stooge of William Casey, and continued under Bush the elder.

When Gates was nominated by Reagan to be head of the CIA in 1987, his role in Iran-contra crimes was already so filthy and so blatant that he was forced to drop out of contention under questioning. In doing this, Gates was seeking to defend his new master, George H.W. Bush, who at that time was preparing a presidential bid for 1988. The elder Bush was the czar of all Reagan-Bush covert operations, including Iran-contra. Gates fell on his sword to avoid revelations which would have doomed the candidacy of Bush the elder. Payback for Gates came in June 1991, when he was nominated once again to be head of the CIA, this time by Bush the elder. Sam Nunn and some others posed embarrassing questions, but this time the cover-up of Gates’ Iran-contra role was supervised by Sen. David Boren of the Bush Skull & Bones clique. The Democrats, intimated by the elder Bush’s apparent victory in the first Gulf war, rolled over. If Gates was too dirty to even get to a vote in committee in 1987, how can he be acceptable today? If Democratic Senators like Levin and Biden opposed Gates in 1991, how can they find him acceptable for a much more important post at a time of far greater crisis?

Gates’ resume is marked by a total absence of independent and competent judgment. His pedigree is rather that of a stooge who serves powerful masters. The first was Reagan’s CIA Director William Casey, the kingpin of Iran-contra. The second was George H.W. Bush, who took over that role from Casey. Gates appears as a Bush family retainer, as when he was tapped by the family in 1999 to become Dean of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Gates is a secret government toady, not the autonomous figure of integrity required to terminate US involvement in Bush’s catstrophic Iraq adventure.

The Bush regime has become infamous for fixing the facts and the intelligence to suit the pre-determined policy of aggression and adventurism. As Pentagon chief, Gates would control the majority of the US intelligence budget. His track record promises nothing but more faked intelligence. In September 1991, Time Magazine cited widespread reports that Gates "cooked the books" while he was at the CIA to support the political demands of the Reagan and Bush regimes. A New York Times editorial of November 4, 1991 concluded that "charges that Mr. Gates slanted intelligence assessments, leaving Congress in the dark and more amenable to administration policy, stand unrefuted." George Shultz reports in his memoirs that he “felt that Gates was giving me an idealized picture of what was an altogether different reality,” and complained to Gates on January 5, 1987, "I don't have any confidence in the intelligence community… I feel you try to manipulate me. So you have a very dissatisfied customer. If this were a business, I'd find myself another supplier." The Senate would be well advised to find itself another supplier today. Will Gates resist the new attacks on Iran, Syria. North Korea, demanded by Cheney and the neocons? His assurances in this regard are worthless.

In the final report of the Independent Counsel for Iran/Contra Matters, Lawrence Walsh left little doubt that he believed Gates had given perjured testimony during that investigation. But Walsh concluded that the matters involved were so complicated that it would be very difficult to prove them before a jury. For this reason and for no other, Gates did not face criminal charges for perjury.

Most damning of all is the fact that Gates was one of the founders of al Qaeda, the CIA’s Arab Legion which was assembled to attack the Soviets in Afghanistan. Gates is thus part of the infrastructure that produced the patsies of 9/11:

According to former CIA Director Robert Gates' memoir From the Shadows, the big expansion of the US covert operation in Afghanistan began in 1984. During this year, "the size of the CIA's covert program to help the Mujaheddin increased several times over," reaching a level of about $500 million in US and Saudi payments funneled through the Zia regime in Pakistan. As Gates recalled, "it was during this period [1985] that we began to learn of a significant increase in the number of Arab nationals from other countries who had traveled to Afghanistan to fight in the Holy War against the Soviets. They came from Syria, Iraq, Algeria, and elsewhere, and most fought with the Islamic fundamentalist Muj groups, particularly that headed by Abdul Resaul Sayyaf. We examined ways to increase their participation, perhaps in the form of some sort of 'international brigade,' but nothing came of it. Years later, these fundamentalist fighters trained by the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan would begin to show up around the world, from the Middle East to New York City, still fighting their Holy War – only now including the United States among their enemies. Our mission was to push the Soviets out of Afghanistan. We expected a post-Soviet Afghanistan to be ugly, but never considered that it would become a haven for terrorists operating worldwide." (Gates 349) But the international brigade Gates talked about was in fact created – as the group now known as al Qaeda. (Tarpley, 9/11 Synthetic Terror, pp.139-140 )

This is the same al Qaeda which provided the troupe of patsies, psychotics, and double agents (bin Laden, Atta, Moussaoui, etc.) which were used to pin the 9/11 attacks on Arabs and Moslems – instead of the US bankers’ rogue network which actually carried out 9/11 for geopolitical reasons. Gates is up to his ears in the terror apparatus of this rogue network, the September criminals who created 9/11.

There can be no question of approving such a candidate. Even the Senate’s willingness to hold hearings for so compromised a figure amounts to an obscene farce. In the recent election, Democrats campaigned against the rubber-stamp Republican Congress. These same Democrats dare not rubber stamp the Gates nomination now. In particular, Democratic presidential candidates in the Senate are reminded that if they fail to filibuster Gates, the aroused anti-war base of the Democratic Party will demand accountability on the campaign trail. We do not want bi-partisan sellouts, but rather a real opposition to the Bush regime and its crimes. Above all, we want 9/11 truth as the essential precondition for restoring lawful government.

"[Defense Secretary nominee Robert] Gates is president of Texas A&M University (my home university where I am professor emeritus) and a former Director of Central Intelligence under Bush the Elder. Who is this guy? Does his nomination promise an end to the suffering in Iraq? Hardly. His record points to more Bush loyalty, fixing intelligence around the policy and mass murder, albeit in a "kinder, gentler" package. Below is an excerpt about Gates from my article, "9/11, Texas A&M University, and Heresy," in a new book, 9/11 and American Empire, edited by David Ray Griffin and Peter Dale Scott.

While I do not want to launch an ad hominem attack on Mr. Gates, we can hardly overlook his extraordinary credentials, experience and qualifications. Why is this man president of a major state university? His appointment tells us a lot about the military-industrial complex, the global domination project (to use Richard Falk’s term), and the present and future of American universities. . .

After starting at the CIA in 1966 as an intelligence analyst, he was the only entry-level CIA employee to rise to director. (He was appointed to that position by George H.W. Bush in 1991.) The Bush family puts a premium on personal loyalty, and Gates is clearly a Bush family loyalist. Bush 41 has his name on the CIA building in Langley and he would not appoint an outsider as chief spook. Gates’s own memoir, From the Shadows, whose subtitle proclaims himself "the ultimate insider," fawns over the first President Bush. When Gates' observed the Soviet Union’s collapse from his CIA perch in 1991, this "joyless victory" perhaps led Gates to think about how to create a new enemy to sustain the enormous budgets of the CIA and the military-industrial complex. If he had special insight into the 9/11 hoax, it might partly explain his eagerness to "silence" an A&M faculty skeptic...

During Iran-Contra Gates was CIA deputy director for intelligence, then deputy director of Central Intelligence (hence the number two man), and finally the acting director. Gates was close to Iran-Contra figures and in a strong position to know about what was going on. Although Gates was an early target of investigation, Independent Counsel Lawrence E. Walsh ultimately decided not to prosecute Gates for perjury without stronger evidence. It appears that Gates tried to protect the Agency and leave aggressive criminal activity to Col. Ollie North and company, but that Gates dissembled and suffered "recall failures" under oath before the Grand Jury.

What to make of Gates’ Iran-Contra behavior? To put it mildly, Gates did not live up to the Aggie Code of honor ("An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do"). In effect, he defended a government of lawless men, not a government of laws. The Boland amendment, with its restrictions on the executive, is indisputably binding law. Relevant here is the wisdom of libertarian economist and historian Murray Rothbard who said, “[O]nly a few key people need be in on the original crime, while lots of government officials can be in on the subsequent cover-up, which can always be justified as 'patriotic,' on 'national security' grounds, or simply because the president ordered it. The fact that the highest levels of the U.S. government are all-too capable of lying to the public, should have been clear since Watergate and Iran-Contra."

[...] Among other sins, Gates defends the absurd official tale about 9/11, according to which, in the words of the 9/11 Commission, "This immeasurable pain was inflicted by 19 young Arabs acting at the behest of Islamist extremists headquartered in distant Afghanistan." But his status as an "ultimate insider" means that he knows better, much better. During Gates’ CIA watch in the 1980s the Agency created al Qaeda, the Taliban and Osama bin Laden as anti-Soviet, pro-western assets.13 Although Gates would never admit it, he has to know that, in the words of Webster Tarpley, "High-profile international terrorism is not spontaneous: it is artificial and synthetic." Even the FBI says Osama bin Laden is not wanted for 9/11 because it has no "hard evidence" connecting him to 9/11.

The evidence provided by Tarpley and many other writers suggests that 9/11 is not about the sociology of the Middle East but false-flag state terrorism on the part of the United States and one or more of its allies. The Bush-bin Laden connection goes back to the 1970s. Osama will prove elusive as long as he remains a "necessary enemy" in the present American version of what Daniele Ganser and Ola Tunander in the Griffin-Scott volume call “the strategy of tension."

Col. Dr. Robert Bowman, running for Congress in Florida's 15th district, told World Crisis Radio on Saturday that he has a shot at winning the election. Bowman said that internal polls by his oppponent, incumbent Dave Weldon, indicated the race was a dead heat, triggering a burst of campaign spending. Bowman has called for a new investigation of 9/11 as poart of his campaign platform.

Alleged phone 'survey' just Bowman smear

I received a phone call from a group claiming to be conducting a poll.

I identified myself as a person who would surely vote against incumbents and/or Republicans, more specifically against U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon, the Indialantic Republican.

The "survey" turned into a thinly disguised smear campaign against Weldon's Democratic opponent, Bob Bowman. It repeated ridiculous, out of context statements supposedly made by Bowman that he would "promote gay marriage."

I was then asked that if knowing he said these things, would I change my mind.

I told them I knew they weren't really a survey, that they were conducting a typical Republican smear campaign, then hung up.

It makes me feel good to know the Republicans and Weldon are so scared they resort to these tactics.

They have only their own hypocrisy and poor performance to blame for the anti-incumbent, anti-Republican sentiment so widely reported. I only hope and pray their lies won't work.

Usually they do. That's the only way they can get elected.

The story about bin Laden and the CIA -- that the CIA funded bin Laden or trained bin Laden -- is simply a folk myth. There's no evidence of this. In fact, there are very few things that bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and the U.S. government agree on. They all agree that they didn't have a relationship in the 1980s. And they wouldn't have needed to. Bin Laden had his own money, he was anti-American and he was operating secretly and independently.

The real story here is the CIA didn't really have a clue about who this guy was until 1996 when they set up a unit to really start tracking him.

Peter Bergen needs to take time out from parroting his MI-5 and MI-6 printouts and address a few facts. As I show in my book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA, the al Qaeda organization was most emphatically the “Arab Legion” created by the US and the British to counter the Soviets in Afghanistan in the early 1980s. The concept of this Arab Legion is found in the memoirs of former CIA Director Robert Gates. Bin Laden personally is of course an eccentric, a dreamer, and a basket case, but there is no doubt that when he went to Peshawar, Pakistan during those years he was surrounded by CIA and MI-6 handlers who steered him in the desired direction. Bin Laden has always received comprehensive support services from US-UK intelligence. His legal services came from the US State Department: when Bin Laden was in Sudan, and the government there wanted to turn him over to the US, Madeleine Albright argued that the US could not take him, since there was no criminal indictment against him. This, in a legal system which notoriously can indict a ham sandwich. No defense attorney could have served OBL better than did Madame Secretary. When Bin Laden required medical services like kidney dialysis, these were provided under CIA auspices in an American hospital in the Gulf, as Le Figaro and Radio France have reported. When Bin Laden needed to make a move from Khartoum to Afghanistan, the US Special Forces of Fort Bragg obligingly sent him a personal assistant in the form of Sergeant Ali Mohammed, a former Egyptian Army major, who organized the move. Sergeant Ali Mohammed also cased the US east African embassies and showed Bin Laden the photos he had made. Bin Laden’s travel bureau was the US consulate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as whistleblower Michael Springman has testified: that consulate was ordered to issue US visas to all manner of criminal patsies under a standing order. As for Bin Laden’s public relations script office or flaquerie: while still a serving CIA officer, Michael Scheuer, the head of the CIA’s Bin Laden station (now abolished), published the infamous book Imperial Hubris, which argues that Bin Laden was not the pathetic ignoramus, misfit and bungler many who knew him have described, but an awesome figure, the greatest political genius of the twenty-first century and the Abraham Lincoln of the Arabs! When CIA honcho Buzzy Krongard, whose name had surfaced in the 9/11 short selling caper, finally left the CIA, he recorded his gratitude that Bin Laden had never been caught – of course, as he hastened to add, lest somebody really radical might have emerged. In this sense, we may safely say that the Bin Laden Fan Club has its headquarters at the CIA in Langley, Virginia. The CIA loves Bin Laden so much that it has made sure that there are many of him: a fat one for the winter, a thin one for the summer, a calm one, an excitable one. “Osama Bin Laden” is a name properly applied, not to a biological individual, but rather to a team or stable of doubles (Doppelgänger) and patsies who represent OBL on the world stage, much as that duplicitous old sinner Winston Churchill used body doubles for deception, and voice doubles to read his speeches. Like El Cid, OBL has fought many a battle after his own demise.



The same pattern holds good for al Qaeda as a whole: it is a stable of patsies. MI-5 whistleblower David Shayler has recounted how in 1995 he noticed that his opposite number at MI-6 was in the process of paying denizens of the al Qaeda patsy milieu £100,000 to assassinate Col. Qaddafi of Libya – an operation which failed to hit its main target, although innocent bystanders were slaughtered. The goal here was to simulate an al Qaeda coup in Libya, which would have handed the US and UK a pretext for invading that country and seizing its oil wells – in effect, 9/11 before 9/11. Over the years, al Qaeda’s targets have also been the targets of the US: al Qaeda has worked with NATO’s KLA drug runners to attack Serbia, and with the Chechen butchers of the late unlamented CIA agent Basayev to attack Russia. Since al Qaeda considers all present-day governments in Moslem countries to be illegitimate, it can be used to attack and destabilize any of them: Bin Laden’s adviser and de facto controller, Zawahiri, is a British agent who took part in the 1981 MI-6 assassination of Egyptian President Sadat in October, 1981. Zawahiri lived openly for years in London, and the British government stubbornly refused to extradite this terrorist to Egypt to stand trial. Al Qaeda’s other key commandment is that true believers must kill infidels whenever they meet them. This is ideal for the US and the British, since it means that the embattled Arabs and Moslems will be eternally isolated, unable to make alliances with Europe, Russia, China, Japan, India, South Africa, Venezuela, or anybody else: those who follow al Qaeda will guarantee their own defeat.


In the light of all this, Mr. Peter Bergen is a charlatan and a laughingstock who should stop pontificating over the airwaves, and go back to his masters at the British Secret Intelligence Service.

"Late-night television viewers in the US eastern time zone were tonight bemused to hear wild and unsubstantiated allegations, broadcast on cable television at about 2 AM eastern time, alleging that the intrepid paladins of British intelligence had foiled a new and nefarious conspiracy to blow up at least twenty (20) passenger airliners, in a plot which would have eclipsed even the legendary 9/11. Heathrow Airport was the purported locus of this latest terror stunt.

Given the collapse of the latest Israeli offensive into Lebanon, this new publicity ploy threatens to take the world into general war -- if the US-UK-Israeli aggressor bloc is able to pin this latest chimera on Hezbollah, Syria, or Iran.

It was only a minor flaw in these broadcasts, mercilessly played up on such channels as Fox News and Sky TV -- the equivalents of the yellow journalism of the notorious News of the World -- that there was not one shred of evidence to support these demagogic and inflammatory charges.

Listeners were reminded that the British plus assorted NATO puppets were being defeated in Afghanistan, the US were being defeated in Iraq, and the Israelis were being defeated in Lebanon. The NATO puppets of the "Orange Revolution" were a thing of the past in Kiev, while the leading CIA agents were being rounded up in Rome. The dollar was in its death agony, and even the neocon hack Lieberman was all washed up in Connecticut. Tony Blair was about to join Ramsay MacDonald in the inferno reserved for Labour Party traitors who were also prime ministers. All the while, the controllers of Dick Cheney and the neocons were clamoring for a headlong rush into World War III, considered to be the remedy for all their ills.

Was it any wonder that British intelligence chose to launch yet another threadbare and absurd terror provocation on a morning in the middle of August?

The US late-night viewer could only await the inevitable parade of psychotic patsies, fanatics, dupes, basket cases, and double agents -- undoubtedly the fruits of MI-5 patsy schools like Brixton and Finsbury mosques -- who were sure to emerge in the course of the day as the latest MI-5 terror cell.

How long would the English-speaking world remain the thrall of such transparent provocations by the secret intelligence agencies?

C-SPAN schedules 9/11 truth symposium for Sat. & Sun.

UPDATE: Sunday rebroadcast did not begin until 3:18pm EDT.

C-SPAN has scheduled a panel from Alex Jones' 9/11 Scholars Symposium for Saturday night, July 29 at 8pm EDT (repeating at 11pm EDT) as part of its "American Perspectives" programming block.

The panel will air again at 2:15pm EDT on Sunday, July 30.

SYNTHETIC TERROR ALERT: State Dept. leaves Americans sitting ducks in Lebanon

"US STATE DEPARTMENT, ARMED FORCES AWOL FOR AMERICANS TRAPPED BY ISRAEL IN LEBANON

OTHER NATIONALS ALREADY EVACUATED WHILE AMERICANS ARE LEFT AS SITTING DUCKS FOR FALSE FLAG WAR PROVOCATIONS

Washington DC, July 15 – (11 PM EDT) The below hypothesis has received further corroboration from Fox News Saturday evening. According to Silva Boghossian, a US citizen stuck in Lebanon interviewed by Greta van Susteren at 10:25 Eastern Daylight Time, "the US has no plan" for an effective evacuation of American citizens in Lebanon. According to Ms. Boghossian, Italian and South African citizens staying in her hotel were evacuated “two days ago,” meaning on Thursday, one day after the Israeli bombi9ng began on Wednesday morning. Ms. Boghossian said that she has registered with US consular authorities, but that “nothing had happened so far.” She added that the persons she spoke with were of undetermined nationality. The hotel where she is staying is now “full of Americans,” Ms. Boghossian told Fox.

All parts of Lebanon are within easy flying distance by helicopter from sovereign British bases on the nearby island of Cyprus (Larnaka, etc.) Nothing would be easier than to set up a speedy airlift which could bring all Americans in Lebanon quickly to safety. Bush, despite his constant demagogy about protecting the lives of Americans, is pursuing a policy of flagrant indifference to what happens to these 25,000 American citizens. They are being hung out to dry, left as sitting ducks for whatever bloody false flag operation may be cooked up by the Israeli intelligence services. This is criminal negligence infinitely worse than Katrina, in that any mass casualties among these Americans will represent a one-way ticket for this entire nation to World War III, a war which sooner or later will be fought with nuclear and thermonuclear weapons. A real US president would right now be warning Israel that it will be held responsible for the lives and safety of every American in Lebanon. The feckless Bush, totally isolated in St. Petersburg, is instead focused on showing his subservience to Olmert. It is therefore up to US public opinion to demand effective security measures for Americans stranded in Lebanon, with immediate evacuation to Cyprus or other safe areas. – WGT
